Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds

Contract Type: Day-to-day, Short-time, Long Term, Permanent

Leader Education are recruiting people to work at Schools based in the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children/adults with SEND or SEMH needs. The schools cater for young people with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, complex medical needs, physical difficulties, Downs Syndrome, hearing and/or visual impairments and Autism.

The school is divided into three Phases: Primary, High School and Post 16

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have experience working with children/adults with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
  • Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes
  • A passion for working with children with additional needs
