Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Kirklees, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Long Term

Leader Education are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work at in SEND specialist Schools across Kirklees. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children with SEND on a 1:1 basis" or transferable experience, skills, and training. The schools cater for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties as well as complex and severe learning needs from 3-19 years old.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long term position.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere for all students.
• Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
• Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes
