Leader Education are recruiting a General Teacher to work at a small, successful SEND school based in Harrogate. This school caters for children aged 2-19 years old and prides itself on being a vibrant and progressive school that offers exceptional guidance for students with PMLD, ASC and elements of challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a general knowledge of core subjects and experience working with children with SEND.

This school's most recent Ofsted report was presented as "Good" as it continues to be a warm and welcoming school where students can thrive.

The normal working pattern for this school is 8:45 to 3:50pm and is a long-term role given a successful trial day.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A qualified teacher status (QTS)
• Some experience working with or alongside pupils that have SEND
• A compassionate, resilient and patient personality
• A great understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
• Be familiar with some tailored interventions and programmes that are used to support children and young people with PMLD, ASC and/or challenging behaviour
