Leader Education are recruiting a dedicated Teacher to work within a South Tyneside based Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school.

The ideal Primary Teacher will have QTS or QTLS, as well as experience working with SEND pupils teaching both primary and secondary.

This school prides itself on having a positive and welcoming atmosphere, working alongside parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet the needs of its pupils effectively.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30-16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • An understanding of SEND.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and all members of staff.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.
