Job Title: SEND Teacher

Leader Education are recruiting a Primary Teacher to work within a SEND school in Yorkshire.

This school provides education and care for pupils aged 3 to 16 years who have a range of specific learning difficulties, therefore knowledge of EHCP's is vital.

The school operates across two sites - a primary site and a secondary site - both offering a warm and inclusive community of staff and students. Its large catchment area spans from Stockton-on-Tees to Harrogate.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
• A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one
• Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice, and guidance to pupils
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• An understanding of SEND and an ability to carry out effective strategies and care in daily practice
• Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development
• High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves
