SEND- Learning Support Assistant

Location: Dewsbury

Leader Education are recruiting people to work in a SEND School based in the Dewsbury area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children/adults with SEND or SEMH needs. The schools cater for young people with complex Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and medical needs aged between 5-19.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm

The successful candidate will have:

• A passion for working with children with additional need
• Experience of working with children and young adults with challenging behaviour.
• Provide calming and nurturing support for some of the most vulnerable students with EHCP's.
• A passion for the progress of children with SEMH needs
• An ability to work as part of a team
• Moving and Handling
• Willing to do personal care
