SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £24,500 - £26,000 PA

Contract: Permanent

Location: Wakefield

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

The Leader Group are working with an esteemed client who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join their team as a Teaching Assistant at an Outstanding Independent SEN School catering to pupils aged 11-18 with Autism and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor, support, and inspire learners through curriculum-based learning in the classroom. Both 1-1 and small group basis.
  • Assist in preparing learning materials and contribute to delivering learning objectives with a strong emphasis on behavioural management.
  • Prepare daily reports on learner's progress and address any barriers to learning.
  • Maintain regular interactions with parents and caregivers to support student development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A committed and passionate approach to working with students with SEND.
  • At least two years' experience in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous).
