Job Title: 1:1 Tutor

Contract Type: Long Term

Leader Education are looking for a 1:1 Tutor to work at an SEMH School based in in Sunderland. You would be working on their KS4 base, working with students between 14 - 16. Ideally, you have experience working with vulnerable children who can have challenging behaviour. They need someone who is patient and consistent to help them overcome their hurdles.

This school have recently moved to a new base with great facilities. There is a culture of aspiration and motivation throughout the staff and the students. Ofsted rated the school 'Good' and can see the vision to engage, educate and support very vulnerate students.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position, upon a successful trial.

The successful candidate will have:

• HLTA or 1:1 Tutor experience.
• Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.

• A good knowledge on EHCP's.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
