Leader Education are recruiting a Science Teacher to work at a large secondary school based near Ashington. The successful Science Teacher will have QTS, experience in working with children in education, and will also need to have an excellent understanding of science. The school caters for young people aged between 11 and 19 years old.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
• A qualification suitable to the role (QTS - Qualified Teacher Status)
• The ability to carry out and deliver science lessons across key stages (primarily key stage 4)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Clear and concise speech when delivering lessons
• An ability to prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, practical experiments, and homework tasks
• The ability to adapt when meeting the needs of all learners
• Good communication skills to liaise with SENCOs, teaching assistants and other members of staff
