Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a Sunderland based primary school.

This is a fantastic and vibrant school where the staff take pride in helping pupils aged 7 to 11 grow into well-educated, well-rounded individuals.

A recent Ofsted report rated the school as 'Good', highlighting its strong ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as well as those who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL).

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position based on a successful trial day.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Have experience working in a transferable role
• Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
• Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
• Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
• Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
