Do you understand how to navigate local authority commissioning, drive commercial growth, and lead high-performing teams?
We're supporting the launch of an exciting new tutoring service focused on improving educational outcomes across communities-and we're seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead its creation and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and launch a high-impact educational service, including all operational systems and frameworks
- Lead commercial engagement, promoting the service to Local Authorities and other commissioners
- Own and implement a robust marketing strategy to ensure strong brand presence and outreach
- Embed quality assurance processes to maintain service excellence
- Oversee all aspects of budgeting and financial management
- Lead recruitment and onboarding, building a talented and motivated team from the ground up
- Navigate tutoring funding mechanisms and commissioner expectations with confidence
- Build lasting relationships with stakeholders, partners, and clients
- Manage and nurture a diverse team, ensuring strong HR processes and a healthy organisational culture
About You:
- Proven experience launching and leading new services or programmes
- Deep understanding of education or tutoring service commissioning and funding
- Successful track record in commercial promotion and stakeholder engagement
- Experience leading large-scale operations and HR functions
- Expertise in budget management with a focus on cost-effectiveness and impact
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset ready to take on a new challenge
