Job Title: Male 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Location: South Tyneside
Contract Type: Long term
Leader Education are recruiting a Male Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil within an alternative provision.
Pupils within this school are unable to access mainstream education due to their varying behavioural needs, therefore, Leader Education are seeking a candidate who works effectively with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural needs.
Working 1:1 with a pupil requires a Male Learning Support Assistant who is consistent, positive, and dedicated to providing the best educational outcomes.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one.
- Have experience working on a 1:1 basis, communicating effectively and encouraging independent learning.
- Have experience working with individuals with more challenging behaviour.
- Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience.
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively.
- Be flexible and resilient.
- Possess good classroom skills.
