Job description

Leader Education are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work at specialist Schools based in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children need additional support due to having behavioural needs, as well as experience in working with children ages 5 to 16 years old. The schools caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties in Key Stage 1 to 4. The school aims to assist the children with extra support.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Experience of working with children and young adults with challenging behaviour previously.
  • Provide calming and nurturing support for some of the most vulnerable students with EHCP's.
  • A passion for the progress of children with SEMH needs
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Managing behaviours
