Job description

Leader Education are recruiting people to work at Schools based in and around the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children/adults with SEND or SEMH needs. The school is a secondary site for pupils aged between 11 and 16 years old. It caters for pupils with a wide range of SEND, including autistic spectrum condition, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, specific genetic conditions, specific communication and language difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Experience of working with children and young adults with challenging behaviour.
  • Provide calming and nurturing support for some of the most vulnerable students with EHCP's.
  • A passion for the progress of children with SEMH needs
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Moving and Handling
