Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a creative, reliable, and dedicated individual to work as a Male 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a SEN school in the South Shields area. This role requires the candidate to work on a 1:1 basis alongside a child with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding the range of different social, emotional, and mental health barriers which can frequently arise when working with children with complex needs.

Leader Education is searching for a dedicated individual who has experience working alongside children who have complex needs. Although prior experience in a similar role is admirable but not essential.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.
• Proficiency in utilising technology for teaching and learning purposes.
• Applicants will be required to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
