Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Northumberland

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistants to work at a SEND School based in Northumberland. This school caters for children with SEMH difficulties and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This role will require the candidate to follow Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP).

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEND, and preferably have experience working on a 1:1 basis.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4:30pm.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting, particularly with students who have complex learning needs.
• Understanding of inclusive education principles and strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both teachers and members of staff.
