Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant (September start)
Location: Durham
Contract Type: Long Term

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a nurturing Primary School based in Durham. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and caring nature as well as experience in working in a relatable role/field i.e. healthcare, nursery nurse, or social care. The school caters for children aged 4-11-year-old and have an aim to provide inspiring curriculum.

This school are based in a village in Durham that offers a community feel throughout. They prepare their children to lead fulfilled lives in a rapidly changing world. They focus on a value of discovery, putting the needs of every child at the forefront of their focus.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3.3pm and is a long term position pending a successful trial.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Enthusiasm for working in education.
  • Educational background or work experience relevant to the position.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning.
