Leader Education are recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for an SEND school.

This school is an alternative learning provider that works with young learners and their families based in Ashington, Northumberland. This school supports students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, focusing on management of complex behaviours.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3.30pm.

The successful HTLA will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
• Have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
• Possess previous experience working with individuals with SEND needs
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
• Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
