Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Leader Education are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work at a school in the Durham area. The ideal candidate will have confidence when working with children, have a strong understanding of complex needs and learning difficulties in children, and be looking for work on a full-time basis. We are searching for an individual who is passionate about education!

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be HLTA qualified, have experience working with Key Stage's 1-4.

At Leader Education, we work with schools that require different levels of support, whether that be primary, secondary, SEND or SEMH.

The successful candidate will have:

• Familiarity with a variety of teaching methodologies and behavioural intervention strategies.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working in KS2 - kS4
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external professionals.
