Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Implement pre-organised lessons when the regular teacher is absent, creating a positive and effective learning setting.
  • Offer supervision and support to students, overseeing their behaviour and create an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Assist in the completion of assigned tasks and activities, actively engaging students in their learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity in the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Address student's inquiries and concerns, providing necessary support and assistance.
  • Maintain precise records of student attendance and promptly report any incidents or problems to relevant staff members.
  • Collaborate with teaching colleagues to ensure a consistent curriculum delivery.
  • Adhere to the school's policies and procedures to promote a secure and supportive environment for all.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting a safe and nurturing environment for all.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling successful interaction with both students and coworkers.
  • Self-assurance and fortitude in managing classroom dynamics and fostering a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Versatility and openness to work with various subjects and student age groups as needed.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills for effectively handling multiple tasks and obligations.
  • A sincere enthusiasm for education and a commitment to nurturing student's academic and personal development.
  • Prior experience in working with children or within an educational context is advantageous but not obligatory.
