Job Title: English/Maths Teacher
Location: Sunderland
Contract Type: Long term
Leader Education are recruiting an English/Maths Teacher who would thrive within a Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school.
This Sunderland based secondary school focuses strongly on preparing pupils for life beyond school, ensuring they reach the highest levels of personal achievement and development.

The ideal Teacher will successfully help pupils to excel in a positive learning environment, offering support and assistance.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
- A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience teaching core subjects.
- Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
- Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning type and abilities, striving towards social and academic development.
- High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves.
