Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Leader Education are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work within a South Tyneside based school.

Pupils within this school are unable to access mainstream education due to a variety of reasons, therefore, Leader Education are seeking a candidate who works effectively with varying Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural needs.

The successful Cover Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of education in the absence of the regular staff.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one.
• Have a background in Sports, eg: Sports Coach, Sporting degree.
• Have experience working with individuals with more challenging behaviour.
• Supervise classes and provide support during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
• Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively.
• Be flexible and resilient.
• Possess good classroom skills.
