Behavioural Support Worker

£85 - £95 Per day

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are working in partnership with an SEND School based in Runcorn and looking to recruit an experienced Behaviour Support worker to work in a specialist SEND school, providing educational support to students aged 7 - 18 with a range of challenging behaviours and SEMH needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school as a TA or support work, great bonus if it is with SEND needs. You will have excellent behaviour management skills as well as patience, empathy and understanding.

This role has potential to go permanent but this role is classed a long term placement.

THE JOB:

· You will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with SEMH needs

· Comply with individual EHC Plans

· To take direction from the class teacher and help support

YOU:

· You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH needs

· Be patient and resilient

· Be creative

· Make learning fun

· Excellent communication skills

· Have a therapeutic and holistic approach

· Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.
