Job Title: 1:1 Tutor
Location: Sunderland
Contract: Short term temporary
Leader Education are recruiting a 1:1 tutor for an SEMH school in Sunderland.
This school supports students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) therefore, experience with SEMH, or vulnerable individuals would be highly beneficial.
With a strong emphasis on emotional well-being, the school integrates mindfulness and teamwork into every aspect of its approach.
The ideal tutor will have experience working 1:1 with children, particularly within Key Stage 4.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:00am until 4pm.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
- Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery.
- Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils.
